Senior Python Backend Engineer (LLM / Generative AI)

Elinext, an international software development company with over 25 years of experience, is seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer (LLM / Generative AI) to join its team on a B2B/Contract basis across EU and other European countries. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, production‑grade backend services powered by modern Python and Generative AI technologies. Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production systems, orchestrating agents and tool integrations, implementing LLM response evaluation mechanisms, and ensuring software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows. The engineer will collaborate with backend engineers, AI specialists, and product teams to deliver new features and continuously improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of production services. Candidates should have strong professional experience in Python backend development, advanced knowledge of Python 3.x, asynchronous programming, type hints, and backend API development, as well as proven experience delivering LLM / Generative AI functionality in production. Practical experience with LangChain, LangGraph, prompt engineering, and agent‑based workflows is required.
