Velmie is hiring a Business Analyst to work remotely on fintech projects. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to gather and document business requirements, create detailed functional specifications, and ensure alignment with product goals. You will use Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage workflows, produce BPMN and UML diagrams, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. The position requires a strong background in financial services, excellent written and verbal communication in English (C1), and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into user‑friendly documentation. The successful candidate will act as the voice of the customer, provide user perspective on feature value, and deliver high‑quality documentation including customer journeys, use cases, activity and technical diagrams. The role is fully remote, with a competitive hourly rate of $20 gross, and offers a flexible work environment.

- 3+ years of total experience working as a trained software Business Analyst
- Background in various types of financial services
- Fluency with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
- Strong BPMN, Use Case, and UML skills
- Strong communication and technical skills with the ability to quickly grasp technical issues/concepts
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare detailed deliverables (e.g. functional requirements) in line with industry best practices and internal agreed quality, process, and timelines
- Be the voice of the customer and provide user perspective on feature value and objectives
- Deliver quality documentation including customer journeys, use cases, activity and technical diagrams
- Experience in fintech project/product development
