Senior AI Research Engineer - Computer Vision
Что предстоит делать
We are seeking two Senior AI Research Engineers to join an international deep‑tech project focused on AI solutions for aquaculture. The company develops AI‑powered systems at the intersection of computer vision, biology, and specialized imaging to detect, identify, and predict traits of aquatic species. The role involves designing and implementing machine‑learning and classical computer‑vision algorithms, developing proofs‑of‑concept and working prototypes, building data processing and training pipelines, extending existing ML/DL frameworks, and conducting rigorous model testing and statistical validation. Engineers will document experiments, lead long‑term applied research activities, stay up to date with the latest AI/ML developments, and support recruitment of additional AI talent. The position requires strong research depth combined with hands‑on engineering skills, and the ability to translate advanced computer‑vision ideas into real‑world products. The project is located in the EU or Asia, and the role is senior/expert level, with a preference for MSc/PhD holders but open to strong BSc candidates with equivalent industrial experience.

- 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning / AI research or engineering
- Strong hands‑on experience in Computer Vision and image/video processing
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with PyTorch, scikit‑learn, SciPy, Matplotlib or similar ML frameworks
- Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
- Ability to take research ideas from POC to working prototype
- Experience designing and running experiments
- Strong understanding of model testing and statistical validation
- Clean, robust, and efficient coding skills
- Strong English communication and presentation skills
