Что предстоит делать

Mad Devs seeks a VP of Engineering to build and scale an engineering organization for its autonomous Voice AI platform. The role involves owning end‑to‑end engineering, creating leadership layers, scaling teams from 45 to 100+ engineers, establishing predictable SDLC, setting quality standards and SLAs, managing FinOps and vendor relationships, and refining career ladders and hiring processes. The candidate will work closely with founders and product leadership to shape strategy, partner with Product Management to deliver impactful outcomes, and ensure the platform can support rapid business growth. The position is remote, full‑time, with a salary range of 4000–8000$ gross.

10+ years of engineering management experience
Experience leading teams of 30+
Experience with high‑scale software development and operations
Experience leading engineering teams on customer‑facing SaaS
Strong knowledge of agentic systems (even without production experience)
Strong software architecture skills
English and Russian at B2+: excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
Location: Eastern Europe or Armenia
Startup experience
A track record of scaling an engineering organization from ~40 to 150 people as a VP of Engineering or CTO
A background in AI/ML, voice, or real‑time systems
A track record of building high‑scale software in a public cloud
A background in zero‑to‑one organization building and rapid decision‑making
